Having the correct fermentation temperature is crucial for high quality beer. I made this temperature controller in order to exactly set the temperature of a discarded refridgerator.

Starting with a project box.

Drilling some holes.

Separating the left and right side of a power outlet, by cutting away the bridge and adding insulation material.

Assembly. There is one extra outlet controlled via a switch. Can be sued for pumps or other equipment you want to control.

Connecting things…

Final product.

The left outlet in the double outlet controls the heating and the right controls the cooling. I connect the fridge power cord to the cooling outlet and a heater that i put inside the fridge to the heating outlet. This way you can set an exact temperature on the
