Had to do something with all our apples before the frost takes them. Our freezers are full so we will not make apple jam this year. Decided to build a large apple drier so we can dry all the apples. The kids love dried apple. Here you can see the result of one batch.
A (salvaged) blower blows air from underneath … 
… onto a on (salvaged) heating element on the inside (it’s back cover has been partially removed so that the air flows through it )
You can adjust the airflow with the vents.
Häftigt. Jag gjorde en provisorisk svamptorkare en gång när jag hade samma problem. Använde som stom en pafflåda och en ikeas metallkorg. Som värmekälla använde jag en kupefläkt som jag styrde med en zigbee smartplug via homeassistant. Som givare hade jag en zigbee tryck/temperatur/luftfuktighets mätare, så fick jag passligt fukt procenten (btw så använde jag den bara när jag var hemma, men en helt fin lösning). Home assistant bidrog samtidigt med statistik över utvecklingen
