Had to do something with all our apples before the frost takes them. Our freezers are full so we will not make apple jam this year. Decided to build a large apple drier so we can dry all the apples. The kids love dried apple. Here you can see the result of one batch.
During the last years i have been interested in building a wood fired pizza oven. I have investigated many possibilities ranging from building a brick pompeii oven, a barrel shaped brick oven or doing the gym-ball casting trick.
What i didn’t even consider in the beginning was using metal. Then i heard some good reviews about pizza oven made from sheet metal, (Uuni pro and such). That got me thinking that steel could also be an option in cases where you didn’t need to store the heat or make bread long after firing up the oven, only to make pizzas. (more…)
Ever had the problem that you burn yourself even when you are using oven mittens. Fret not! Just take a pair of welding gloves and write “kitchen” on them. Now you will not burn yourself anymore.
I made a wolf detector.
It can tell if an image of a canine is a wolf or not. It can distinguish between a very wolf like dog and a wolf. It is a binary classificator, and has been trained on thousands of images on all dog and wolf breeds. I might connect it to a wildlife camera at some stage and do some interesting things with it. Made an adjustable Football rebounder to practice first touch in soccer. There is almost no loss in ball speed due to the tight strings. It is like a tennis racket. The string is a nylon string meant for weed whackers. it is tightened with bolts on the side. The rebounder can be aligned in different angles so you can practice retrieving both high and low balls. There will be a youtube video about the build at some stage.
During my summer vacation I built Lord of the Rings inspired wooden swords for the kids. I love these kinds of projects, where you just make something because you love the craft, and someone will be very happy with the result. The image on the cover is Sting (That Bilbo had, and handed over to Frodo). The other two are Orcrist (Goblin Cleaver, that Thorin Okenshield got) and the last one is Glamding (which is what Gandalf had). Three elven swords, made in Gondolin.
With every one of our child i have thought about building an automatic pram rocker. Now as our youngest is a baby and has had some problem sleeping I finally decided to build one.

The best feeling you can get is when you make someone smile…
Two summers ago (the summer of 2016) I built this tree house for the kids and their cousins at our family summer place. (more…)
Glued paper onto a cardboard skeleton. It was very tough to break with a baseball bat (so all kids at the party got to try and hit it … several times).
My son has a plastic ninja sword. It’s hand guard (called Tsuba on a Katana) broke. Designed and 3d-printed a replacement. (more…)
Always wanted a float cart (Mjölk kärra in Swedish) Made one out of an old and broken bicycle trailer. You can add a handle and use it around the yard. We use it mostly for moving firewood from the shed to our house. You can also attach it to the bike and take stuff with you that you couldn’t before.
Our Luggage bag broke it’s leg. Designed and 3d-printed a new one. (more…)
My sons had lost the buckle for his life jacket somehow. 3d-printed a Batman version. (more…)
I made a nice and fun to use Wakeskate from think plywood glued together in a form with polyurethane glue. The top side has EVA-foam on the tail and fron and the side to enable ollies and flips. (More images inside) (more…)
We decided we would like to have a chickens. For the chicken coop, the requirements were:
We got bees this year. (more…)
Having the correct fermentation temperature is crucial for high quality beer. I made this temperature controller in order to exactly set the temperature of a discarded refridgerator. (more…)
I wanted to learn how to do a muscle-up… so i made an outdoor gym.
OMG! A hidden bathtub in a sauna?
We had to do a bathroom renovation and i decided to redesign and build our Sauna. The space is quite small, so we wanted to use it as efficiently as possible. When we planned the bathroom, we could not fit a bathtub, but we wanted one, so i decided to integrate it in the sauna. (Read more for pictures of the SPA) (more…)
Created a stone ring to separate the Sauna stove from the wood. (more…)
Made an illuminated drawing table, or light table, for my oldest daughter so she could copy images from comics when drawing.
I built this laptop stand for the exercise bike in 2011 when we had a campaign at work where you got points for exercising. You could win an iPad. Since it was getting wintery, I wanted to be able to exercise indoors. I had noticed that many of the podcasts and youtube videos I was listening to during my outdoor mountain biking needed that you focused on the screen in order to see what algorithm was being walked though etc. (more…)
After my son learned to bicycle, the old wooden bike was not needed anymore. Time for an upgrade. Found an old bike that was restored to a bike WITH FLAMES! (more…)
Welded some scrap metal together into axe heads. Truned some birch wool into handles. They were very nice to throw. Although the handles broke quite quickly, so I made new handles out of metal. That turned out great. It is great therapy to throw axes. (more…)
Made a wooden bike for my son, It has flames! (more…)
This was a project i did in 2008 i think when the kids wanted snow. It consists of two nozzles spraying high pressure water and one nozzle spraying a combination of high pressure water and compressed air. When the compressed air expands it takes energy from the tiny surrounding water droplets which freezes and allow the other water droplets to form snow crystals around the nuclei.

I don’t think i can find images from this build. My first and only glassfiber project, in glassfiber. The form was rented. I love the solitude on the water. I was able to learn an Eskimo roll on this one.
